Celebrating Pi Day with the Lexington Comic Con

photoPlastered all over our Facebook feeds were our friends celebrating yesterday by baking or eating delicious pies.  Sounds like the perfect way to celebrate Pi Day.

We were not at home baking sweet smelling pies.  We spent the day at the Lexington Comic Con and walked so much, we could have eaten a whole pie by the time we got home.

Perhaps the Con was bad timing.  We are right smack in the middle of trying to buy a house, so we are keeping a close eye on our expenses.  We didn’t realize we would find a home we really liked so quickly and we probably spent a little more money than was necessary at the convention.

photo(1)We did have a great time yesterday, but in between wandering around the vendors and checking out all there was to see, we were distracted by the possibilities of the house.  Every colorful print we saw, we said, “We have to have that in our game room!”  We were thinking about paint colors and new furniture.  We wondered how exactly was the theme of the living room and kitchen going to be able to incorporate Africa, world maps, industrial, and minimalism.  Furthermore, I insisted on a steampunk bathroom, while Cam insisted on hanging his movie posters in the office.

While wandering around, we would be reminded of our surroundings as we past Eric Roberts or Marina Sirtis, but our minds tracked right back to the house.  We did walk away with a few of nice prints for the future game room and office.

On the way home, we stopped to do some window stopping for furniture and decor.  Perhaps someday we will be attending other types of conventions, of the home and garden variety.
